On 10 November 2015, Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with Chairperson of the Committee on European affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania Ana Birchall who arrived in Tbilisi to attend the International Conference: Achieving Gender Equality - Challenges and Opportunities in the European Neighbourhood Policy Region opened in Tbilisi.

The sides discussed prospects for the development of relations between Georgia and Romania; the importance of Georgia’s integration with the European and Euto-Atlantic structures and the issues of regional security paying special attention to the implementation of energy and transport projects and emphasizing the importance of the Black Sea region in this context.

Ana Birchall reaffirmed the Romanian Government’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its further integration with the European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
